From continental Europe, the gainers were led by clinical-stage biotech company Abivax (ABVX) and steel manufacturer ArcelorMittal (MT), which rose 6.6% and 1.7% respectively. They were followed by drink and brewing giant Anheuser-Busch Inbev (BUD), which added 1.6%.
The decliners from continental Europe were led by biotech firm BioNTech (BNTX) and biopharmaceutical company Cellectis (CLLS), which fell 2.4% and 1.1% respectively.
From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by blockchain technology company Argo Blockchain (ARBK) and biotech company Autolus Therapeutics (AUTL), which rose 4.5% and 2.7% % respectively.
The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by biotech firm Centessa Pharmaceuticals (CNTA) and biopharmaceutical company Adaptimmune Therapeutics (ADAP), which were down 1.7% and 0.7% respectively.
