11:15 AM EST, 01/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were higher Friday morning, rising 0.21% to 2,071.50 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index. However, the index is still down about 1.3% for the week.
From North Asia, the gainers were led by diagnostic imaging centers company Concord Medical Services (CCM) and online game developer The9 (NCTY), which climbed 13% and 6% respectively. They were followed by ecommerce fashion platform MOGU (MOGU) and pet-focused platform Boqii (BQ), which rose 4.9% and 4.4% respectively.
The decliners from North Asia were led by advertising agency iClick Interactive Asia Group (ICLK) and education company 17 Education & Technology Group (YQ), which dropped 3.7% each. They were followed by internet and data center services provider VNET Group (VNET) and wealth management firm Noah (NOAH), which lost 3.5% and 2.9% respectively.
From South Asia, tech conglomerate Sea (SE) was up 0.3%.
