08:15 AM EDT, 06/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Teck Resources (TECK-A.TO and TECK-B.TO) on Monday said a maintenance shutdown of the SAG Mill will not impact its copper production guidance.
A mechanical issue at the company's Carmen de Andacollo (CdA) operations in Chile has necessitated the month-long shutdown of the SAG mill.
CdA will also reschedule other planned plant maintenance to coincide with the mill downtime to minimize disruption. Teck does not expect a production impact from the downtime, and reiterated its guidance for 2025 total annual copper production and 2025 annual copper production for CdA.
Teck also announced an unrelated temporary outage of the shiploader at the Quebrada Blanca (QB) port facility in Northern Chile. Repairs are also expected to last a month. Operations at the QB mine and plant continue as normal and the operation has capacity to ship via alternative ports, a statement added.
The company said 2025 annual copper production for QB remains unchanged.
